Shishir K. Maithel is a leading hepatopancreatobiliary surgeon whose research has fundamentally advanced the surgical management of complex pancreatic and biliary diseases. His work spans three key areas: minimally invasive pancreatic surgery, perioperative risk stratification, and congenital biliary disorders.
