Shinkiti Suzuki has pioneered transformative methods in synthetic organic electrochemistry, with a particular focus on oxidative carbon–carbon bond formation. His most celebrated contribution is the development of the “cation pool” method, which enables the generation and accumulation of reactive cationic intermediates—such as iminium cations—via low-temperature electrolysis.
