Dr. S. Hassid is a pioneering head and neck surgeon whose research focuses on minimally invasive oncologic surgery and organ-preserving treatments for laryngeal and pharyngeal cancers. Dr. Hassid’s major contributions include the development and validation of transoral robotic surgery hypopharyngectomy (TORSH), a groundbreaking technique that offers patients with hypopharyngeal tumors a less morbid alternative to traditional open surgery.
