Paolo Gaffuri is a leading figure in robotic hernia surgery, whose work is redefining best practices in minimally invasive abdominal wall repair. His research focuses on optimizing surgical techniques for inguinal, hiatal, umbilical, and epigastric hernias, with a particular emphasis on the transition from transabdominal preperitoneal (TAPP) to totally extraperitoneal (eTEP) approaches.
