About
Niclas Dohrn is a colorectal surgeon whose research is reshaping the landscape of minimally invasive cancer surgery. His work centers on two pivotal questions: how robotic surgery compares to traditional laparoscopy, and how surgical technique—particularly the choice of anastomosis—affects patient recovery. Dohrn’s landmark nationwide cohort study on robotic versus laparoscopic right colectomy (52 citations) demonstrated that the robotic approach offers tangible advantages, a finding he has since extended to left-sided colon cancer.
