Dr. Michael Lioudis is a urologic surgeon and researcher whose work centers on advancing minimally invasive treatments for kidney cancer, with a particular focus on optimizing outcomes in robotic partial nephrectomy (RPN). His major contributions lie in refining surgical techniques to preserve renal function without compromising oncological control. In a landmark study with 37 citations, he demonstrated that transperitoneal robot-assisted partial nephrectomy achieves excellent long-term oncological and functional outcomes at a minimum of five years of follow-up.
