Matthias Biebl is a leading figure in the advancement of minimally invasive visceral surgery, with a particular focus on robotic-assisted techniques for complex oncological procedures. His research centers on the evolution and standardization of robotic surgery for upper gastrointestinal and colorectal malignancies, notably esophageal and rectal cancers.
