Mahmoud A. Mohsin is a pioneering astrobiologist and geobiologist whose work bridges the gap between extreme terrestrial environments and the search for life beyond Earth. His research centers on the microbial ecology of hypersaline sabkhas—salt flats that serve as analogs for ancient Martian and evaporitic environments.
