Dr. M. Reichert is a leading figure in space exploration research, with a primary focus on human survivability and the long-term utilization of space. Their most influential work, "HUMEX, a study on the survivability and adaptation of humans to long-duration exploratory missions, part II: Missions to Mars" (2005, 68 citations), provides a critical analysis of the physiological and psychological challenges astronauts would face on extended journeys to Mars.
