Kenta Saito is a pioneering hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgeon whose work centers on advancing minimally invasive surgical techniques for complex liver, gastric, and pancreatic procedures. His most significant contribution is the refinement of Glissonean pedicle isolation (GPI) during anatomical liver resection, particularly through the lens of Laennec’s capsule—a breakthrough that has enhanced the precision and safety of laparoscopic approaches.
