About
Julie Nossiter is a leading health services researcher whose work has fundamentally shaped our understanding of prostate cancer care and surgical outcomes. Her research centers on comparative effectiveness of radical prostatectomy techniques—robot-assisted, laparoscopic, and open surgery—using large-scale national data from the English National Health Service. Nossiter’s landmark 2018 study (61 citations) provided crucial patient-reported functional outcomes 18 months post-diagnosis, comparing robot-assisted radical prostatectomy against laparoscopic and open approaches. Her 2017 national cohort study (37 citations) quantified severe urinary complications within two years of surgery, establishing evidence-based benchmarks for surgical performance.
