Joost M. Klaase is a leading hepatopancreatobiliary surgeon whose research focuses on minimally invasive surgical techniques, patient recovery, and long-term quality of life outcomes. He is best known for his central role in the LEOPARD trial, a landmark randomized study comparing minimally invasive and open distal pancreatectomy.
