About
Jessica Opoku‐Anane is a leading voice in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, with a research focus on optimizing surgical outcomes, reducing disparities, and advancing simulation-based training. Her landmark 2020 randomized controlled trial demonstrated that intraoperative tranexamic acid significantly decreases blood loss during myomectomy, a finding with immediate clinical impact for patient safety. This work, along with her development of a preoperative calculator to predict prolonged operative time for robotic-assisted laparoscopic myomectomy, has helped surgeons better plan complex cases.
