James P. Di Santo is a leading immunologist whose research centers on human immune system development, innate lymphoid cells (ILCs), and the mechanisms underlying mucosal immunity and immunodeficiency. His major contributions include pioneering work on the functional characterization of ILCs and their role in tissue homeostasis and inflammation, as well as advancing standardized approaches for high-dimensional immunophenotyping.
