About

Dr. Isvita Marfatia is a pioneering thoracic surgeon whose research focuses on advancing the precision of minimally invasive lung cancer surgery through intraoperative molecular imaging (IMI). Her major contribution lies in demonstrating the first-ever use of tumor-targeted fluorescent tracers during robotic-assisted thoracic surgery (RATS) to visualize ground glass opacities (GGOs)—a notoriously difficult-to-identify lesion type.
