Heikki Lihavainen is a leading atmospheric scientist whose research centers on aerosol optical properties, brown carbon, and their climatic impacts. His most influential work addresses the direct radiative effect of brown carbon (BrC) over the Indo-Gangetic Plain, a critical region for global aerosol studies.
