Hans A. Kramps is a leading virologist whose work has been instrumental in advancing molecular diagnostics for emerging livestock diseases. His primary research focuses on the development and validation of high-throughput, real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR) assays for transboundary animal viruses, with a particular emphasis on Bluetongue virus (BTV).
