H. Van Der Poel is a leading figure in urologic oncology whose work has fundamentally shaped how surgeons are trained in robot-assisted surgery. His primary research focuses on the development, validation, and standardization of structured training curricula for robotic procedures, particularly robot-assisted partial nephrectomy and prostate cancer surgery.
