About

H Lu is a medical physicist whose research focuses on advancing precision radiotherapy for prostate cancer, particularly through stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) and magnetic resonance (MR)-guided treatment planning. In a landmark 2016 study, Lu pioneered a novel dosimetric validation framework for robotic prostate SBRT with simultaneous integrated dose escalation to dominant intraprostatic lesions. Using an MR-based 3D-printed prostate model embedded in an anthropomorphic pelvis phantom, Lu demonstrated that high-precision dose delivery to tumor subregions is both feasible and accurate—a critical step toward personalized, MR-guided radiotherapy.
