About
Govindarajan Srimathveeravalli is a leading researcher at the intersection of robotics, medical imaging, and interventional medicine. His work focuses on developing robotic systems for precise, image-guided procedures, with major contributions in MRI-safe robotics and surgical simulation. He pioneered the design of an MRI-safe robot for endorectal prostate biopsy, constructed entirely from nonmagnetic, nonconductive materials and powered by pneumatics—enabling direct MRI guidance without compromising image quality.
