Edward J. Damrose is a leading head and neck surgeon whose research has fundamentally advanced the field of transoral robotic surgery (TORS) for treating cancers of the upper aerodigestive tract. His most impactful work, the 2015 multi-institutional study "Oncologic Outcomes After Transoral Robotic Surgery" (304 citations), validated TORS as an effective, minimally invasive alternative to traditional open surgery for head and neck cancer.
