Daisuke Ban is a leading figure in the advancement of minimally invasive hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery. His research centers on refining and standardizing complex laparoscopic and robotic procedures, particularly for pancreaticoduodenectomy and anatomic liver resection. Ban has made pivotal contributions by systematically analyzing surgical approaches to the superior mesenteric artery during minimally invasive pancreaticoduodenectomy, a critical step in enhancing oncologic safety.
