D. Vanacore is a pioneering urological surgeon whose research focuses on advancing robotic-assisted kidney transplantation and complex reconstructive urology. As a key member of the European Robotic Urological Society (ERUS) Working Group, Vanacore has been instrumental in defining the learning curve for robot-assisted kidney transplantation (RAKT), a study that has garnered 80 citations and provides critical benchmarks for surgical training. Their most notable contribution is the development of the Florence robotic intracorporeal neobladder (FloRIN), a novel reconfiguration strategy created in strict adherence to the IDEAL guidelines for surgical innovation.
