Daniel Langer is a pioneering figure in the field of robotic and minimally invasive hepatobiliary and colorectal surgery. His research focuses on advancing surgical techniques through the application of robotic systems, particularly the da Vinci platform, to improve patient outcomes in complex abdominal procedures. Langer’s major contributions include some of the earliest documented cases of robotic laparoscopic liver resection, as detailed in his most-cited paper (26 citations), which helped establish the feasibility and safety of this approach when few data were available.
