Dr. CC Foo is a pioneering colorectal surgeon whose research centers on advancing minimally invasive surgical techniques, particularly robotic-assisted and natural orifice transluminal endoscopic surgery (NOTES) for rectal cancer and complex abdominal conditions. His most impactful work includes landmark comparative studies demonstrating the oncologic safety and short-term outcomes of robotic versus laparoscopic resection for mid- and distal rectal cancer (84 citations), as well as critical investigations into the learning curve for novice rectal surgeons adopting robotic-assisted low rectal resection (83 citations).
