About
Beejal Sanghvi is a pediatric surgeon whose work is advancing minimally invasive techniques for complex congenital conditions. Her primary research focuses on laparoscopic and thoracoscopic surgery in children, with a particular emphasis on choledochal cyst (CDC) excision and biliary reconstruction. In her landmark 2023 study, Sanghvi reported the first large-scale experience with three-dimensional laparoscopic CDC excision and hepatico-duodenostomy in 21 children, demonstrating that this approach is safe, feasible, and offers superior visualization compared to traditional 2D laparoscopy.
