Antonio Taddei is a leading figure in the advancement of minimally invasive surgical oncology, with a primary focus on robotic surgery for gastric and pancreatic cancers. His work has been instrumental in demonstrating the safety and efficacy of robotic approaches over traditional techniques. His most cited study, a comparative analysis of robotic versus laparoscopic distal gastrectomy with D2 lymphadenectomy for gastric cancer (62 citations), provided critical evidence that robotic surgery can overcome the technical limitations of conventional laparoscopy, particularly in complex lymph node dissections.
