Dr. Amin S. Herati is a urologic surgeon and researcher whose work bridges surgical innovation, opioid stewardship, and evidence-based practice in prostate cancer care. His most impactful contribution is the landmark ORIOLES initiative, a prospective cohort study that reshaped post-prostatectomy opioid prescribing. This work, cited nearly 60 times, demonstrated that many patients require minimal or no opioids after radical prostatectomy, and identified patient- and hospital-level predictors of opioid use.
