Alexey V. Pshezhetsky is a leading figure in human genetics and biochemistry, whose research has fundamentally reshaped our understanding of lysosomal biology and metabolic disease. His work centers on the molecular mechanisms of lysosomal storage disorders, particularly the role of specific enzymes in cellular waste disposal and energy metabolism.
