Dr. Ahmed Younos is a pioneering hepatobiliary and robotic surgeon whose work is redefining the surgical management of complex liver and biliary tract malignancies. His primary research focuses on advancing minimally invasive techniques for perihilar cholangiocarcinoma (Klatskin tumors), a notoriously difficult-to-treat cancer. Dr. Younos has made landmark contributions by developing and describing the first standardized robotic approaches for Type 3A and Type 3B Klatskin resections, including novel techniques for biliary reconstruction such as unification ductoplasty.
