摘要
Background: Robotic assisted surgery is considered a major technologicaladvancement in minimally invasive surgery and artificial intelligence integration.Aim: To evaluate the effect of implementing nursing educational program onperioperative nurses' knowledge and attitude regarding robotic-assisted surgery.Design: A quasi-experimental research design Setting: Operation Department ofNew Surgical Hospital at Tanta Main University Hospital. Subjects: All availablenurses (80) who work directly with patients undergoing surgery. Tools: Two datacollection tools were utilized. Tool I: Structure Interview Schedule for nurses, ToolII: General Attitudes towards Robots Scale (GAToRS). Results: Highlysignificant improvement in total nurse’s knowledge levels and attitude regardingrobotic-assisted surgery since p value was (0.001) post implementing the program. It was determined that preprogram (95 %) had low level of knowledge comparedto the majority (91.25 % and 87.50%) immediately and two-month post educationalprogram. Also, preprogram the minority of the studied nurses (10 %) had a positiveattitude compared to the majority (86.20 %) had a positive attitude post program. Conclusions: Implementation of the nursing educational program associated withsignificant improvement in the total mean score of nurse's knowledge and attitude.Recommendations: Training program should be conducted for nursing staff in theoperating room regarding robotic assisted surgery
