摘要
More than a significant portion of the global population opts for agriculture as their primary occupation. The primary goal of the project is to develop a versatile agricultural vehicle capable of autonomous operation. This innovation aims to reduce the labour burden on farmers while enhancing the efficiency and precision of agricultural tasks. This paper presents the design and development of an autonomous seed dispensing robot capable of performing multiple functions required in the seed planting process. The robot is designed to automate the critical stages of seed planting, including the creation of planting holes, seed dispensing, and initial watering. By employing wireless control mechanisms, the robot ensures precise operation and can be easily managed remotely. The system aims to address challenges faced in traditional farming methods, such as labour-intensive processes and inconsistent planting patterns, by providing a reliable and scalable solution. Key components include a robust mobility system for navigation, a precise drilling mechanism for hole creation, a controlled seed dispensing system for accurate seed placement, and an efficient watering system for optimal initial hydration. The results demonstrate the robot’s effectiveness in achieving uniform seed placement, consistent hole drilling, and targeted watering, all crucial for crop establishment and yield maximization. This study highlights the potential of integrating automation in agriculture to foster sustainable farming practices and improve overall agricultural productivity. The findings underscore the importance of such technologies in achieving more efficient, consistent, and scalable farming operations.
