摘要
The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT) in healthcare represents a significant shift in patient care, impacting various areas profoundly. This chapter explores the transformative potential of this integration, highlighting its effects on remote patient monitoring, diagnostic accuracy, medication management, predictive analytics, and surgical procedures. Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT) facilitates remote patient monitoring through wearable devices, ensuring continuous health tracking and early anomaly detection. Research indicates that AIoT-enabled remote monitoring can lead to a reduction in hospital readmissions by up to 50%, resulting in substantial cost savings and improved patient outcomes. Moreover, the seamless integration of data from sensors and wearables into healthcare systems has shown a 35% decrease in emergency department visits among monitored patients. In diagnostics, AIoT enhances accuracy and efficiency through advanced image analysis and pattern recognition algorithms. Studies have found that AI-driven diagnostic systems can improve accuracy by up to 40%, leading to quicker treatment initiation and better patient outcomes. Additionally, AIoT systems analyzing electronic health records (EHRs) have resulted in a 25% decrease in medication errors and adverse drug events. AIoT also empowers predictive analytics by utilizing big data and machine learning algorithms to identify disease risk factors and predict health outcomes. Research suggests that AIoT-driven predictive analytics can reduce healthcare costs by up to 30% through early disease detection and preventive interventions. Furthermore, AI-driven robotics and augmented reality technologies in surgery have led to a 20% reduction in postoperative complications and a 15% decrease in hospital stays. To sum up, there is a great deal of promise for improving patient care delivery through the combination of AI and IoT in the healthcare industry. By enabling remote monitoring, improving diagnostics, optimizing medication management, facilitating predictive analytics, and revolutionizing surgical procedures, AIoT has the potential to completely transform healthcare delivery while also boosting system efficiency and patient outcomes. However, to fully realize the promise of AIoT integration in healthcare, issues including data privacy, safety, and ethical considerations must be resolved.
